Our fabric decals are printed on genuine PhotoTex®, a lightweight polyester fabric with a subtle woven texture and a soft, matte finish. It gives your photos and artwork a natural look with minimal glare.

The PhotoTex difference

PhotoTex uses a patented adhesive that is fully cured before application. It is designed to stay stable and removable over time, rather than continuing to harden or develop an increasingly strong bond with your wall. This makes it easy to adjust your layout or move your decals to another suitable surface.

Your photos and designs are printed directly onto the fabric, creating a lightweight, frameless finish that sits closely against the wall.

We care about your indoor air quality and only print using water-based inks for our “custom photo products” and UV inks for all the rest. Both are completely VOC free and contain no Hazardous Air Pollutants (non-HAP).

We print everything to order in-house.

Photo Quality & Cropping

We want your Custom Photo Decals to look their best! The quality of your finished decal will depend largely on the quality and resolution of the photo you upload, particularly when choosing one of our larger sizes.

Choosing the best photo

For the best print result, always upload the original, highest-resolution version of your photo wherever possible.

Photos taken directly on most modern smartphones and digital cameras are generally suitable, provided you're using the original image.

Try to avoid:

• Screenshots or screen captures
• Photos downloaded or saved from social media
• Images that have been sent through apps that reduce image quality
• Very small or low-resolution images
• Photos that have already been heavily cropped or enlarged

These files may look fine on a phone screen but can lose detail or appear pixelated when printed at a larger size.

How large can I print my photo?

The larger you'd like your Photo Decal to be, the more image information we need to produce a clear result.

Image resolution is measured in pixels (px) or pixels per inch (PPI). Generally, the more pixels your original image contains, the better it will reproduce at larger print sizes.

Where provided, you'll find our recommended image dimensions/resolution for each Photo Decal size on the product page.

If your image is lower resolution, consider choosing a smaller decal size for the best result.

How can I check my image size?

iPhone:
Open your photo and tap the ⓘ information icon at the bottom of the screen. You'll see information about the image, including its pixel dimensions.

Mac:
Select the image file, right-click and choose Get Info. Look under More Info to find the image dimensions.

Windows:
Right-click the image file and select Properties, then choose the Details tab to view its dimensions and resolution.

Check your crop carefully

Your Photo Decal will be printed using the crop you create when personalising your product.

Before adding it to your cart, take a moment to check the preview and make sure faces, heads, pets and other important parts of your photo aren't sitting too close to the edge or accidentally cropped out.

This is particularly important with our round Photo Dots, as areas in the corners of your original rectangular photograph will naturally be removed when it's cropped into a circle.

What you see within the crop area is what will be printed, so please make sure you're happy with the positioning before completing your order.

Why does my photo look unclear in the preview?

Don't be concerned if your photo looks slightly softer or lower quality in the online preview.

The preview displayed on the website may use a smaller version of your image so it can load quickly. Your uploaded print file retains the higher-quality image data available from your original upload.

The preview is primarily there to help you check the positioning and crop of your photograph.

Having trouble uploading your photo?

Large photo files can take a little longer to upload, particularly on a slower internet connection.

After uploading and cropping your image, please allow a little time for your preview to appear.

If your image still won't upload, try refreshing the page, checking your internet connection or trying again using a stronger Wi-Fi or mobile data connection.

For the best result: start with your best-quality original photo, choose an appropriate print size and always double-check your crop before ordering.
